One of my favorite birds. Extremely small, active, very inquisitive, and a native of Missouri and Ozark county in the summer. This one responds to whispering and comes to see what I'm doing.

- I have spent 45+ years of my life "with wet tennis shoes" around on or near Missouri streams. I am fascinated by the wildlife, love catch and release fly-fishing, canoeing, bird-watching, studying natural flowers and trees. My favorite river is the North Fork of the White and my favorite location is River of Life Farm near of Dora, Missouri. I use Canon DSLR Pro grade cameras and a series of Canon L series lenses.

your bird photos are exquisite. My mother was a birder who also whispered to gnatcatchers and chickadees to get them to come close. I hope you have found ways to share your knowledge and love with young people. Birds are so important!
