Armadillos and Roadrunners
No, this is Missouri; not Texas. Armadillos are increasing rapidly across southern Missouri and Roadrunners, while increasing from about 1930 to 1977 are declining in Missouri. They are both still present in Ozark county; and in the case of the Armadillo at ROLF also. The frequently root around the hillsides just before dark. I have seen two roadrunners on Highway 181 near Caney Mountain Refuge.
